The job advertisement under Rwanda’s United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)  letterhead circulating on social media is a hoax.

The advert announces recruitment for staff  to fill over 9,000 positions namely interns, clerical officers, office secretaries, data entry clerks, drivers, security guards, office administrators, and others.

The author of recruitment advert asks interested applicants to send copies of their CV and Cover Letters ONLY to vacancies.unicef2022@hotmail.com

To start with, this email address is a pointer that the announcement is not genuine as it has never been used by the UN agency in any recruitment before.

Besides, there is no information whatsoever regarding the recruitment on any official platform of UNICEF Rwanda and its website.

UNICEF announced Tuesday that it only advertises job vacancies on its official website http://unicef.org/rwanda and other official platforms such as the UN jobs portal.

The agency identified the poster as fake, and urged the public to ignore it.
