Have you by any chance heard of AI and NFTs?

I want to believe that most of you did. The term NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) have been making rounds on the internet lately. It’s very unlikely that you haven’t come across the mighty ChatGPT, for instance.

Some of you could even be asking yourself if ChatGPT has not contributed to writing this article. Worry not. This publication strongly discourages using AI tools to create.

The editorial rules here tell me that AI tools have ethical flaws especially when it comes to copyright of content they generate, and they harbor a lot of biases and are mostly wrong with predictions and conclusions they come up with. 

Writers here can only use AI tools to do research or to break down big data, and doing that we are advised to always be mindful of the above-mentioned flaws.

So, rest assured that ChatGPT has had no hand in penning this piece. You doubt me? Feel free to consult ZeroGPT. 
The latter is another AI tool which detects any AI-written text. It will tell you if whole or sections of the content has been generated by AI chat bots such as ChatGPT, Google BARD or any other you may think of.

In other words, think twice next time you use AI generated content as your original work for any purpose.

Back to our terminologies — AI and NFTs.  Let me help you refresh your mind with some interesting facts.
Did you know that the term AI was first used in 1950s by John McCarthy?

The Computer History Museum tells us the American computer and cognitive scientist was a pioneer in the fields of AI.

He is also known as the father of AI. Yes, AI is that old. History predicted the rise of AI way before most of us existed. 
Google, for instance, was using AI way before ChatGPT came into existence.

AI tools do things that range from language processing, doing calculations and predictions based on given data and generating variations of materials submitted to it based on user requests.

It can also do the thinking for you on a given topic. For many AI tools are awesome applications and they get better at what they are designed to do with time.

NFTs

If you are not a tech enthusiast it’s almost impossible that you’ve heard of NFT.

So let me help you become nerds. Remember what we’ve just said about AI’s ability to create variations of materials submitted to it based on the users’ request.

This is what’s what NFT comes to solve. Simply put, NFT allows artists to claim the ownership of their original work. That art must be in digital form.

It allows the artist to have a unique identification which cannot be duplicated in any way. That means that if you took a photo using your camera or have some precious artwork and added it to the NFT marketplace, it becomes yours and nobody can duplicate it. It’s great right?
